OM5451 is a type of long-grain rice primarily grown in the Mekong Delta region of Vietnam and has a relatively short maturity period (90 - 95 days). OM5451 rice has long, slender grains with minimal chalkiness. When cooked, it becomes soft, springy, and emits a subtle fragrance. Notably, it does not become hard when cooled. OM5451 rice is commonly used for meals at home and restaurants. With its export-quality characteristics, OM5451 rice is also favored in countries such as the Philippines, Eastern Europe, and Africa
